YES!  I am pregnant!  I am due Sep. 15th!  We've known since Jan. 1st, a great way to start the New Year, but waited a few days to tell family until we were totally sure.  We were going to wait a while to tell friends, but I just get too excited so we spilled the beans on Friday.  I've had many people (including family) tell me I should be done at 4 kids... well, this is our life, and our baby, and I knew we were supposed to have 5 kids... and I've known for a while there was one more that needed to come to our family.  So glad it's finally happening!

The biggest question I've been asked is if I'm still doing Eat to Live while I'm pregnant.  Yes, I am, but with a couple of modifications.  I've read about what I should be eating during pregnancy and Eat to Live fits the bill really well.  I am adding in more protein (eggs, turkey, and chicken in moderation) and upping my Calcium supplements, but other than that I'm following Eat to Live pretty well.  In fact I ate a brownie earlier in the week and I was nauseous for the rest of the night.  But, then I ate my green smoothie the next morning and felt great again.  I'm hoping I can keep my morning sickness at bay by eating healthy, but only time will tell if it's diet related or just the way my body works.  I have been making sure to eat something with protein every 2 hours since I've read that's the best way to keep from getting so sick.  Hoping it'll work.

I spent all day rehearsing and performing with my Symphony yesterday... it was an exhausting day... 9 hours of playing total!!  For someone who only practices for 10 minutes a day at best, 9 hours is difficult to endure through... but it was still fun to play.

We're going through the ringer with all of Cameron's school projects due soon... there are SO many.  I wish they would coordinate with each other and spread them throughout the year rather then making them all due within 2 weeks of each other.

Mike coached volleyball for me on Saturday since I was out of town.  I will start coaching this week which I'm excited about.  David and Heidi move into their new house tomorrow!  Excited for them!

  1. What? Stopping at 5 - grin. I was just reading this morning that Joseph Fielding Smith had two by his first wife and 9 by his second wife. I am not advising that, but I think many marrieds in the church do not really consider the will of the Lord as much as they used to in this. Congratulations and love you.

  2. I think we're going to have 4 girls... as much as I never want to be pregnant again, lol. I'm sure whoever gave the unsolicited advice about only having 4 kids meant well. And I will say no more about that... ;)

  3. Yeah, I started my pregnancy out eating healthy and once I felt sick, strangely the only foods that didn't make me nauseated came from taco bell. It all went downhill from there and I still have 40 pounds to lose to get me where I started :/ I hope you have luck with your plan. I am sure I'll try the eat to live thing eventually, but not while I'm living here. I hate not having a kitchen...
