How one decision leads to another.

Dryer breaks and is old, we’ve fixed it too many times- lets buy a new dryer, our washer isn’t great either, let’s buy a new matching washer and dryer, to fit the new machines we have to remove the giant metal shelf we use for food storage in the laundry room, where will we put the giant shelf- it’s so big, we remove the old washing machine and the faucet is slightly leaking, we replace the faucet but in the process water ends up gushing all over the laundry room floor and flooding it, in the process of rushing to turn off the hot water heater (because scalding hot water is gushing out onto my husband and burning him) paint cans get thrown aside because they are blocking the door to the water heater, we soak up all of the water in the laundry room, we realize in frantically moving the paint cans an entire gallon of white paint spilt all over the garage, we have to hurry and clean the garage and clean up the paint, we decide the giant metal shelf will fit in the garage, we have to clean the entire garage and move EVERYTHING around because the shelf is so tall, while organizing things in the garage an entire jug of coolant begins leaking all over everything, we end up cleaning and wiping down several tools and bikes in addition to the coolant... BUT, now we have a new washer and dryer, our laundry room is mopped and spotless from the flood, the garage is clean and excellently organized, and now we just have to buy a new smaller shelf for the laundry room for our food storage (which we will have to take out of boxes since it was on the floor when it flooded and the boxes are ruined)… and we are exhausted yet somehow satisfied with all of our accomplishments! Lol.
